Toshiba Excite Write detailed review

This is the next generation of excite tablet. Actually this is a wacom digitizer with a stylus so it can compete with Samsung galaxy note 10.1. if Samsung galaxy note have a HD resolution in its plus points then the Toshiba excite have a 2,560 x 1,600 display, 2GB of RAM, a Tegra 4 heart , a Wacom digitizer and Harman Kardon speakers. It’s a best tablet with android OS.

This tablet contains a rare 8 megapixel camera with a flash to its right where as the speakers are at the bottom and a are at odd potion with respect to hand position. MicroSD, mini-HDMI and micro-USB of android tablet are located beneath a loosely secured flap. This tablet contains a 3.5 mm headphone jack. The upper edge contains power button of the tablet. The frond side of this tablet is very similar to other 10 inch android tablets in market. its 10-inch, 2,560 x 1,600 IPS display should be outstanding with a pixel density of 300pi but the reality is opposite there are some problems with colors but not that much issue that you should reject this tablet. If Toshiba wants to copy the Samsung galaxy note 10.1 then it was not a successful attempt.

The tablet already contains a Wacom digitizer that, when used in accordance with the pack in, mimics handwriting remarkably. Users are offered with two options to enjoy this feature: Stylus Mobile or TruNote. If you flipped the TruPen around it can be used like an eraser the tablet will automatically recognize this. Resting your palm on the tablet while you write is luckily not an issue.

The camera of this tablet has a good performance but have lot of confusion in using it because the user interface is not that much user friendly. At first you will find only simple options on the tablet like camera, video, panorama, shutter and flash. But if you hold onto screen you will find a fuller settings wheel with options like options to set the exposure, white balance, HDR, scenes modes, flash and switch cameras. You can set the focus for camera by touching anywhere on the screen, but once this locks, it doesn't follow up with a shutter snap. You manually have to tap shutter key for capture. The photos that are ten by this tablet are fairly decent although colors are seems to be overly sharpened and enhanced. The Excite Write's 1080p video recording is pretty solid.

You can use the battery for few days on casual use but with watching videos and using wifi the battery consumes very quickly. By managing brightness and wifi you can increase battery timings. There are three power management options are available on this tablet. Unblemished Android Jelly Bean that's what you'll get when you fire up the Excite Write.

  3. Nice review on the latest 10 inch Toshiba Excite Write Android Tablet. Does all apps works perfectly on 10 inch tabs as my friends are facing some issues while playing games on large screen tablets.
